Vintage/Antq 1905, BPOE Elks Lodge Past Exalted Ruler Presentation Medal

Beautifully detailed BPOE presentation medal dated 1905
Awarded to William S Bumbaugh by BPO Elks Lodge 773 in Monesson, PA. in Westmoreland County.  A highly detailed 3 dimensional gold bust of an elk with ruby eyes lies at the center of the medal. A blue enamel insignia surrounds the elk and on the outer edge is a jewelers-quality wreath of laurel leaves. The leaves are likely gold plated but is unmarked as to metal content & may have used a combination of metals (including gold) in the overall construction (pay close attention to the elk!)
Stunning quality!  A little more than 1 1/2" in diameter.  Excellent condition.  Two small mounting loops indicates it may have been attached to a bar pin at one time.
