The modern Finnish Postal Service (Posti) has offered what is possibly its most popular ever 1st-class, world-wide postage stamp. While a collectible/collectors item for fans of all sorts of stamps and/or homoerotic art, the stamps are valid postage, good from anywhere within Finland to anywhere in the world (postcard or small letter up to 20 g). , Finnish postal rates may have changed since 2014.  If mailing abroad from Finland, check with the local Posti branch to ensure these stamps are adequate postage for international use).  Each set of three self-adhesive, 1st-class stamps comes on a small flat sheet of background art. The flat/sheet is approximately 3" x 5". Stamps themselves are varied standard sizes and shapes. See photos. The back of the sheet contains information on the artist and his art. Tom of Finland is an artist of renown, a Finnish native known for his distinct style of drawing, which portrays gay men with exaggerated attractive masculine features in suggestive and homoerotic poses. The stamps have been deemed acceptable for postage in most of the free world. However, Russian lawmakers have attempted to ban (and may have done so successfully) any in-coming mail from Finland bearing one of these three stamps. Stamps were first published on 8 September 2014 and are out of print now.
