Striking late 1800s Indian Silver Double Handle King Cobra Sugar Bowl
Presented is a lovely silver double handled sugar bowl. This piece was made in
India and dates to the late 1800s. The bowl is beautifully hand chased with
various birds and floral designs, inside lotus leaf shaped arches. The handles
of the bowl are done in the form of king cobras, well cast and nicely detailed,
complete with the 'spectacle' marking on the back of the hood and scales on the
body. Overall a very striking and charming piece.
This piece has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be at least
    900 purity silver.
This piece is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no dents, no
breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The piece measures about 5 ¼ inches from handle to handle and stands about 3
    3/8 inches tall.
This piece weighs 162 grams or 5.7 regular ounces.
