    Description

This unusual survival is the remains of a cardboard store display of pen clips with 22 clips remaining. The clips were patented on May 25, 1909, and made by W.& P. Quality of New York under the brand name Good Grip. In an online volume of the American Stationer for 1917, a subscriber asked the magazine's editor who made Good Grip pencil clips and was told that it was the White & Perkins Company of 444 Broadway, New York. The cardboard display is in 2 pieces with tears and missing tabs. Most of the clips, though unused, have small spots of rust. The pieces of the display are 7 1/4 inches wide and 5 and 4 inches high.
