    Description

    ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1900 member lapel pin for the Nurses Associated Alumnae. The name of the group changed to the American Nurses Association in 1911. The gold-filled pin is enameled in various colors around its border and has a red cross within a white triangle at its center. The reverse of the pin has a Providence, Rhode Island maker mark.
    VINTAGE: Circa 1900.
    SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in diameter.
    MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold filled, enamel.
    ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
    MARKINGS: STANDARD EMB. CO. PROV. R.I. FILLED.
