    Description

Interesting pair of small bronze pieces. I've described them as wall pockets as they will perform that function, but they may be antique architectural of furniture fragments such as shelf supports or parts of a decorative design. They seem to represent the head of a medieval worker. 2 3/4" tall, 1 5/8" wide, 2" deep. The bronze back of one has been skillfully replaced with tin at some time in the past. They probably date to the 19th century or earlier.
