    Locating rails are made of low carbon steel, precision ground square and are available in a number of sizes and lengths to suit most applications. Mill a slot in the fixture plate to locate the rail and drill and tap the mounting holes. The height of the rails can be adjusted by the depth of the slot. Steps can be machined on the rails to hold the work piece above the fixture plate or a radius can be machined to match the contour on machinable clamps for irregular shape parts.
