Description
I know very little about these items. There are 2 individual bracelets. One is smaller than the other. My parents have had these in the house since the 1960's. I believe they were used as ashtrays. There is a removable insert in them. The insert is marked India. They are hollow but heavy, with great geometrical workmanship. From other listing on ebay " They were considered, in a rural community, an important dowry asset, and worn with pride and distinction. Perfect as coffee-table pieces and in a great collection. Nice patina, Madya Pradesh, Central India. First-half 20th century."
Weight for pair is 2 pounds 10.6 ounces - Internal diameter is just under 2 1/4" - External diameter 4 1/2" and 4 3/4" respectively - Height 2" and 2 1/4" respectively.
Please ask questions before bidding. Again I am not an expert on this item. I just know they are old. Please do your own research on these pieces. I have not been able to figure out how to separate the 2 halves. If any of you ebay experts can tell me any more information about these items, your insight will be much appreciated.
