Cyrtostachys Renda is also called the Lipstick Palm or Red Sealing Wax Palm.  It is native to
Malaysia, Borneo, Southern Thailand and Sumatra.  This is a slow growing palm.
This plant is a beautiful palm with a distinctive red trunk which is how it got its name.  As it matures, the trunk will turn bright red.  When the palm is young, it should be grown in shady conditions. The palm cannot be kept outdoors in weather
temperatures
at 40 degrees F. or below.  It also likes to be grown in moist conditions.  The Lipstick Palm grows well in
high humidity and even grows better in a pot placed in standing water, such as a pond.
There are 6 plants up for sale.  The plants are being grown in a 1 gallon pot.  You will receive one of the plants pictured in the listing.  The plants are 30 to 34 inches tall.  You will receive the plant that is picture in this listing.  Your plant will be shipped bare root or with little soil.  The pot will not be shipped.
Please understand that these are living plants.  We try to ship out the plant without any damage to its leaves, however, depending upon how long it takes to sell the plant and what happens during the shipping process, the plant may have a brown leaf or damage to a leaf.  Likewise, a new leaf may have grown since the initial picture or the plant may even be larger than the size in the listing.  Sometimes plants can go into shock from shipping or different growing conditions.  Plants usually bounce back when watered and placed in partial shade for a little while so they can get readjusted.

– 72 Hour .50.  If we are shipping your plant to a cold weather location, I would recommend you buying a 72 hour heat pack.  Please check out my other items and purchase the heat pack at checkout.  We cannot monitor weather or take responsibility for cold damage to your plant. When in doubt . . .  buy the heat pack!!!  We are not responsible for plants that freeze during the shipping process.
