    Description

Katuk cuttings can be difficult to root -- I've done the hard part for you!  These seedlings or rooted cuttings are already growing. Save WEEKS of growing time over unrooted cuttings!
All you need to do is pot up these rooted plants when you receive them, and keep them watered until established. The plants you receive will be similar to the last photo.
Nearly all parts of the Katuk plant can be eaten raw or cooked. The leaflets are easily stripped from the petioles and added to salads, sandwiches, soups or stir-fries. Tender young shoots are usually steamed, and the flowers and fruits (2nd & 3rd photos) can be added to salads or vegetable dishes.
The overall plant height can reach 6-7 feet or more, but it's best to keep them cut back to 4-5 feet in height to form a more sturdy bush (1st photo). The trimmed parts can be eaten (4th photo).
Katuk prefers a little shade in hot climates, but will grow in full sun as long as the soil is kept moist. An evenly moist soil is also conducive to faster, more lush, growth.
Katuk is perennial in USDA Zones 9-11. Elsewhere, it can be container-grown and protected from the cold.
