    Pink Peppercorns from your garden! An abundance of small flowers pop open from panicles that eventually bear a great many small, flesh-colored, berry-like fruits. A clean evergreen tree maturing to to 50 feet tall and wide it is a fast growing species.
    The berries, which have a peppery flavor, are used in syrups, vinegar, and beverages in Peru; are added to Chilean wines; and are dried and ground up for a pepper substitute in the tropics. There is such a high oil content in the bark, leaves and berries that they become aromatic in the heat of the day or when crushed.
