    Description

    Antique WHITEHEAD & HOAG Newark N.J. Elks Reunion B.P.O.E Natchez, MS & Denver Pin Badge
    1914 Elks Golden Jubilee Grand Lodge Reunion with Natchez, Mississippi badge.  Medal is gold tone in color and about 2 ¾  inches long. The bottom portion is enameled in a gorgeous deep red color with the words, “In the Heart of the Cotton”, with a cotton ball and stem with lodge 553 inscribed inside the cotton ball.   On the back side is inscribed, “The Whitehead & Hoag Co, Newark, New Jersey”.
    The Natchez Lodge first opened its doors on March 10, 1900 and remained a Lodge for 114 years.  In November of 2014 the Lodge Charter was revoked.  At the time the Lodge closed it was located at 241 Lower Woodville Road in Natchez
