This listing is for a bowl made by Carl Sorensen in bronze.
Sorensen was an American metalsmith, working for Tiffany in the 1920s and 1930s.
This may date as early as 1914 when he became known for his work in copper and bronze. The style seems very arts and crafts to me, so the date may be in line.
The vase is bronze with some horizontal lines that appear like they was “turned” on a lathe.
The vase is 6.75” tall and about 7.5” in diameter at the widest part.
The bottom is marked Genuine XXX Bronze, Nordane.
This does not have Sorensen's mark, but some pieces were not signed by the artist.
Condition
:
No dents.
Some signs of age.
