    DESCRIPTION
'Pardon Me' is one of the best reblooming reds. It starts its display of deep burgundy 2¾-inch red blooms late in the season and continues until frost. Blooms feature a narrow yellow watermark, bright green throat. Petals have pie crust ruffled edges, sepals are smooth, both are slightly recurved. Fragrant. Field grown plants.
Dormant foliage* (stops growing and will die back naturally as winter approaches).
Award of Merit, Donn Fischer Memorial Award for miniatures.
    Hemerocallis 'Pardon Me'
    * This variety is not suitable for zones 9-10. A dormant daylily is one that needs a respite from the blooming season. In other words, they like to take a winter nap. A dormant daylily planted in a zone without a cold period may look great for a year or two. After that, the constant growth and bloom cycle will eventually become too much for them. They will wear themselves out and stop blooming.
    PLANTING INSTRUCTION
You can leave the daylilies in a bucket of water to re-hydrate while you are planting. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots without bending them. Position the bare root daylily so that the crown (where stem meets roots) will end up about one inch below the soil surface when the hole is filled in. Work soil around the roots, firm well and water thoroughly.
To get your new plants off to a good start, you should water them regularly during the first season.
Mulching around the base of your plant (2-3 inches deep) with straw or bark chips will keep grass from growing around the plant and hold in moisture.  Spacing: 18-24 inches     Height: 18 inches
